Sunrise Watch at Kintamani

We all love sunrise, don’t we? From the moment that beautiful golden egg pops into the morning glory view of the mountain, right until the moment it sets in the evening. This amazing tour starts with the sunrise watch in Kintamani facing Mount Batur. Instead of hiking up Mount Batur with the dreadful 1.30 am a wake-up call in hopes to catch the sunrise, we do it with a 5.00 am pick up from Ubud — watching all the actions from Kintamani highland. It can be very cold. So it’s always nice to have some extra layers or jacket for warmth. When it’s raining, clouds may get in the way of the picture-perfect sunrise view but hey it’s an adventure. Nothing is ever certain and that’s why we dig it so much.

Trekking Rice Field at Singaraja

Forget all the greens you see around Ubud for a while! They are gorgeous but the ones in Singaraja; you get to chat with the farmers as they do the plowing with help from the Buffaloes, you can climb the coconut tree and drink right from the source (just kidding, the locals will be delighted to climb and get the coconut for you). You’ll then experience a 30 minutes hike up and down between narrow and slippery muddy paths in the quite majestically eye-pleasing rice field system before crossing a few streams and descending through very steep trails near the end of the trek. Prepare trekking shoes and extra clothes for changing and you’re good to go even during the rainy season and the paths become more challenging (and fun)!

Swimming at Sekumpul Waterfall

NEWbali has a very good friend who came all the way once from the USA to visit Sekumpul Waterfall and she said this which totally made our day, “This one is definitely bigger and more beautiful than the one I saw in Hawaii.” Indeed, alongside Git-Git Waterfall in the north of Bali, we reckon Sekumpul Village boasts one of the most towering and secluded waterfalls in Bali. Indulge in a relaxing swim in the cold water guaranteed to wash away fatigue and stress in life (even for just a tiny bit moment). Let’s go, guys! Great adventure tour is just within a few clicks.
